Professor and Consultant ENT surgeon; research lead in otology and cholesteatoma surgery.

Professor Kiran Jumani is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust and Specialty Research Lead for ENT in the NIHR North Thames Clinical Research Network, with a subspecialty practice in otology and related disorders.

Education & training: More than two decades of experience in ear, nose and throat surgery with higher specialist training and consultant appointment within a major London teaching trust.

Clinical interests: Chronic ear disease and hearing loss, dizziness and balance disorders, eardrum and ossicular reconstruction, sinus disease and sleep apnoea surgery for adults and children within integrated ENT pathways.

Research, teaching & leadership: Leads local research delivery for ENT across North Thames CRN, supervises trainees and contributes to ENT education for primary and secondary care teams.

Service & systems: Develops evidence-based, imaging-led otology and rhinology care with structured outcome measurement and shared decision-making across Barts sites and partner providers.

Selected publications & contributions: Professional education and audit outputs in otology and sleep-disordered breathing care, and public-facing resources on ear and sinus surgery.
