Consultant dermatologist specialising in general dermatology including eczema and psoriasis.

Dr Dushyanth Gnanappiragasam MBBS BSc MRCP(Derm) is a Consultant Dermatologist at Imperial College Healthcare with a practice covering general dermatology, skin cancer and hair disorders, and he leads the Trust’s skin-cancer MDT clinic.

Education & training: Graduated from Imperial College London, completed foundation training in West Sussex and core medical training in East Sussex, followed by higher specialist dermatology training in the East Midlands; also awarded First-Class honours in Management with Medical Sciences from Imperial College Business School.

Clinical interests: Full-body skin assessment and mole checks, benign lesion surgery and scar care, inflammatory dermatoses including eczema, psoriasis and acne, and medical and surgical management of alopecia and scalp disease.

Research, teaching & leadership: Presenter at national and international conferences with recent peer-reviewed work on dermatologic surgery methods, patient experience and rare genodermatoses (e.g., Haim–Munk phenotype), and contributor to national quality-improvement collaboratives in skin-surgery practice.

Service & systems: Delivers rapid-access lesion clinics, dermoscopy-guided triage and day-case skin surgery with outcomes audit and MDT-linked follow-up.

Selected publications & contributions: Recent articles in Clinical and Experimental Dermatology on skin-surgery sustainability and scalp-wound healing strategies, and a case report on cathepsin-C mutation presentations.
