Dr Johnny Vlahos is a Consultant Radiologist whose specialist interests include cardiothoracic and abdominal imaging and advanced CT applications such as 3D and quantitative techniques, dual-energy CT and iterative-reconstruction dose reduction.

Education & training: MBBS (King's College London, 1990) and BSc (1993), followed by SHO posts at King's College Hospital, Papworth Hospital and Addenbrooke's Hospital, then specialist registrar training at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals.

Fellowships & early career: Alwyn Bursary and clinical fellowship in chest and body imaging at Barts/The Royal London, then a one-year chest and body imaging fellowship at New York University; appointed Assistant Professor and Attending at NYU until 2007 before joining St George's as Consultant Radiologist.

Research & recognition: Former divisional and departmental research lead with extensive publications, international presentations and multiple awards (including RSNA and Journal of Thoracic Imaging honours).

Current international roles: Has served as Professor of Radiology in Thoracic Imaging and Director of Education in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging at MD Anderson Cancer Center, reflecting a global academic profile alongside UK practice.
