Professor Andrew McEvoy is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and a senior academic at University College London, serving as clinical lead for neuro-oncology and epilepsy surgery and running the UK’s largest adult epilepsy surgical practice.
Education & training: UK neurosurgical training with higher degrees and fellowships in functional and oncologic neurosurgery, followed by consultant and academic appointments at UCL/UCLH.
Clinical interests: Comprehensive surgical management of epilepsy including temporal lobe resections, hemispherotomy, corpus callosotomy and neuromodulation, as well as brain tumour surgery with advanced mapping and navigation.
Research, teaching & leadership: Research interests in robotics in neurosurgery, neuronavigation and functional outcome evaluation after epilepsy surgery, with widely cited publications and leadership within the Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy at UCL.
