Information on Dr. Christos Tolias
Mr Christos Tolias is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital and a senior member of the London Neurosurgery Partnership, with a subspecialist focus on complex cerebrovascular and skull base disease.
Education & training: PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Warwick, higher neurosurgical training in Liverpool and Birmingham, and a clinical fellowship in Richmond, Virginia, followed by consultant appointment at King's in 2005.
Clinical interests: Microsurgical and endovascularly integrated care for cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernomas and dural arteriovenous fistulae, including rare conditions such as moyamoya disease, alongside an active cervical and lumbar spine practice for radiculopathy, stenosis and pain procedures.
Research, teaching & leadership: Research background in traumatic brain injury and mechanisms of neuronal cell death, regular faculty on vascular and skull base courses, and contributor to multidisciplinary governance and outcomes audit within a major London network.
