Professor Kristiana Gordon is a Consultant and Professor in Dermatology & Lymphovascular Medicine and Clinical Lead of the Lymphoedema Service at St George’s Hospital, London, where she leads one of the UK’s highest-volume services for primary and secondary lymphoedema and lipoedema.
Education & training: Qualified at St George’s in 2001 and completed a research doctorate in lymphoedema, becoming the first doctor to qualify in the specialised field of lymphovascular medicine, with additional certification as a lymphoedema therapist.
Clinical interests: Primary and cancer-related lymphoedema, lipoedema and lymphatic malformations with personalised conservative and interventional plans coordinated through dermatology–vascular–imaging MDTs.
Research, teaching & leadership: Leads the National Lymphoedema Clinic, publishes on lymphoedema and lipoedema and delivers national and international education for clinicians and patient groups.
Service & systems: Develops evidence-based lymphoedema pathways integrating diagnostics, compression and decongestive therapies and surgical referral where appropriate, with longitudinal outcomes tracking.
