Dr Robert Thomas MB BS BSc(Hons) MRCP FRCR EBIR is a Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust with a specialist interest in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary imaging and minimally invasive therapies; he also practises at OneWelbeck Imaging & Diagnostics.

Education & training: Initially trained in general medicine (MRCP, 2007) before specialising in radiology, achieving the European Board of Interventional Radiology qualification in 2013 with sub-specialty components in interventional oncology and embolisation.

Clinical interests: Cross-sectional CT/MRI and ultrasound for GI and HPB disease, CT colonography, and a broad interventional portfolio including vascular and non-vascular embolisation and image-guided tumour therapies within a major trauma and vascular network.

Research, teaching & leadership: Active educator and contributor to interventional-radiology trials and registries with publications in GI imaging and IO techniques, and regular faculty roles within London cancer networks.

Service & systems: Runs protocolised rapid-access imaging and interventional lists with structured consent, safety bundles and audited outcomes across Hammersmith and St Mary's, linked to OneWelbeck pathways for continuity.
