Prof. Sir Peng Tee Khaw

Professor Sir Peng Tee Khaw is Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Professor of Glaucoma and Ocular Healing at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, co-directing the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Moorfields–UCL.

Clinical interests: Adult and paediatric glaucoma with a global reputation for complex surgery and post-operative scarring control.

Innovation & research: Leads the Moorfields Safer Surgery System and programmes in anti-scarring therapies and microsurgical devices that have improved glaucoma-surgery efficacy and safety worldwide.

Recognition: Recipient of major international distinctions including ARVO’s Angle Award, reflecting sustained translational impact on glaucoma care.

Education & leadership: Trains surgeons internationally and shapes research strategy across Moorfields and UCL ophthalmology.
