Mr Alfredo Tonsi MD PhD FRCS is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon practising at London Bridge Hospital, specialising in inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer and benign proctology, alongside laparoscopic and open hernia surgery.

Education & training: Completed specialist colorectal training with advanced laparoscopic fellowships and has led training of registrars in colorectal resection and colonoscopy, progressing to consultant practice in London.

Clinical interests: IBD surgery, oncological colorectal resection, complex anal fistula management, haemorrhoids, anal pain and rectal prolapse, plus abdominal wall hernia repair including inguinal and incisional hernias.
