Mr Ibnauf Suliman BSc(Hons) BM FRCS(Gen Surg) is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital with a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer and benign disease, alongside elective and emergency general surgery.

Education & training: Completed London Deanery higher surgical training rotating through University College, the Royal Free and the Royal London Hospitals, followed by fellowships in laparoscopic surgery in Sydney, pelvic-floor surgery at The Royal London and robotic and pelvic exenteration at The Royal Marsden.

Clinical interests: Colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, proctology and advanced benign colorectal conditions, hernia and gallbladder surgery and on-call emergency general surgery with endoscopic and laparoscopic expertise.

Research, teaching & leadership: Ongoing contributions to service development and training in minimally invasive and pelvic-floor pathways, with presentations and education for MDT colleagues and referrers.

Service & systems: Designs imaging-first assessment with MDT decision-making, robotic and laparoscopic theatres, ERAS protocols and structured survivorship and surveillance follow-up.

Selected publications & contributions: Peer-reviewed and professional education outputs on colorectal minimally invasive techniques and pelvic-floor surgery with patient-information resources for recovery and prevention of recurrence.
