Dr Sarah Wakelin BSc MBBS FRCP is a Consultant Dermatologist at St Mary's Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer, known for leadership in cutaneous allergy and medical dermatology and for authorship of key dermatology texts.

Education & training: Former senior registrar at the St John's Institute of Dermatology cutaneous-allergy clinic before consultant appointment, with ongoing combined NHS and independent-sector practice.

Clinical interests: Allergic skin disease including contact dermatitis, patch testing and complex drug allergy, systemic therapy for medical dermatology and acne within integrated allergy–dermatology pathways.

Research, teaching & leadership: Module lead and educator in dermatology and allergy programmes and co-author/editor of reference works including 'Systemic Drug Treatment in Dermatology' and 'Dermatology: A Colour Handbook' (2nd ed.).

Service & systems: Runs the Skin Allergy/Contact Dermatitis service at St Mary's with structured investigation, avoidance counselling and long-term outcomes tracking.

Selected publications & contributions: Books, chapters and peer-reviewed articles in contact allergy, systemic therapeutics and pragmatic dermatology care, with invited lectures to professional audiences.
