Dr Neil Patel is a Consultant Dermatologist and Head of Specialty for Dermatology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where he leads the hidradenitis suppurativa service and provides comprehensive inflammatory-dermatology and skin-cancer care.

Education & training: Completed higher specialist training in dermatology alongside doctoral research at UCL's Division of Infection & Immunity, followed by consultant appointment at Imperial.

Clinical interests: Hidradenitis suppurativa, complex inflammatory skin disease and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, with procedural dermatology integrated into one-stop clinics.

Leadership & service development: As Head of Specialty/Clinical Lead, oversees workforce, pathway design and quality-improvement across the multi-site Imperial dermatology service, including transplant- and cancer-linked pathways.

Research, teaching & outreach: Regular educator for trainees and referrers and contributor to service audits and implementation projects improving outcomes and access for HS and inflammatory-dermatology patients.
