Professor Mark Emberton OBE is Professor of Interventional Oncology at UCL and an Honorary Consultant Urologist at UCLH, with a global reputation for transforming prostate-cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Research focus: MRI-led diagnosis, active surveillance and focal therapies (including HIFU and photodynamic/vascular-targeted approaches) with multiple practice-changing trials.

Clinical interests: Personalised management of localised prostate cancer using advanced imaging and risk stratification.

Leadership & teaching: Leads multidisciplinary research platforms and supervises clinical–academic trainees.
