Professor Waljit Dhillo FMedSci is Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Head of the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at Imperial College London, Consultant Endocrinologist at Imperial College Healthcare and Dean of the NIHR Academy.

Research focus: Neuroendocrine control of appetite, metabolism and reproduction, with pioneering human studies of kisspeptin and translational work in reproductive endocrinology.

Key contributions: First-in-human kisspeptin studies and subsequent trials showing modulation of sexual behaviour and appetite networks, plus clinical advances in IVF triggering and menopausal symptom pathways.
